Position: Travel Bartender
About the Role:
Sharp Spoon Network is seeking skilled Bartenders to deliver exceptional beverage service at events and venues across the country. We're looking for personable mixology professionals who can craft quality drinks, engage guests with confidence, and adapt seamlessly to any bar setup.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
- Create classic cocktails and execute specialty drink menus with precision
- Provide friendly, attentive service while managing multiple orders efficiently
- Maintain bar cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Set up and stock bar stations with all necessary equipment, glassware, and ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
- Check identification and serve alcohol responsibly in compliance with local laws
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Engage with guests in a professional, personable manner
- Coordinate with event staff and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
- Break down bar setups and properly store or pack equipment
- Adapt to various bar environments, including full-service bars, mobile setups, and outdoor events
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a bartender in restaurants, hotels, catering, or event settings
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Efficient mixing techniques and the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and engaging personality
- Reliable cash handling and point-of-sale experience
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state regulations
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kegs, cases, and equipment
- Willingness to travel regularly for assignments
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred:
- Mixology training or bartending certification
- TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or similar responsible service certification
- Experience with high-volume or upscale events
