Position: Travel Chef
About the Role:
Sharp Spoon Network is building a team of accomplished culinary professionals ready to bring their expertise to kitchens across the country. We're seeking experienced chefs (Sous Chef level or above) who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional cuisine wherever the opportunity takes them.
What You'll Do:
- Design and execute menus tailored to client specifications, dietary needs, and available ingredients
- Deliver high-quality food preparation across all stations—appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Take ownership of kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Source and manage inventory to ensure smooth service
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Partner with clients and culinary teams to exceed expectations
- Contribute to menu development and recipe innovation
- Stay current with industry techniques and trends
- Support logistics, including kitchen setup and breakdown
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrated professional experience as a chef in high-volume or specialized culinary settings
- Culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols and health regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Self-directed work style with adaptability to varied kitchen setups
- Willingness to travel regularly for assignments
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license required
