Position: Travel Culinary Utility Worker
About the Role:
Sharp Spoon Network is seeking dependable Culinary Utility Workers to support kitchen operations across the country. We need hardworking individuals who understand that a clean, organized kitchen is the foundation of great culinary service and are ready to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
What You'll Do:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, equipment, and work surfaces
- Remove trash and recycling throughout shifts and maintain waste disposal areas
- Receive and assist with putting away food and supply deliveries
- Stock and organize dry storage, walk-ins, and freezers
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as directed
- Set up and break down dishwashing and cleaning stations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
- Respond quickly to kitchen needs during service
- Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown for events and temporary assignments
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in proper working order
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in kitchen utility, dishwashing, or janitorial roles preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on any task
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper usage
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
- Team player who supports kitchen operations
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in hot, wet conditions
- Willingness to travel regularly for assignments
- Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred:
- Food handler's certification
- Experience in commercial kitchen settings
